Lola

Lola was a stray in the Southtowns so her background is unknown to us, but we believe she was definitely loved by someone. This beautiful pocket pittie is about a year old, 43lbs, house trained, crate trained (although you can leave her out without issue) and knows a few commands. She is highly food motivated and just wants to please you. Lola is fearful of some men and needs a slow introduction, but can be slowly won over with treats or a walk. Although Lola does currently live with a female dog she could easily be an only pet. Give her the sun to bask in, a bone to chew on or your lap to cuddle on ~ belly rubs required ~ and this girl is happy. She is very eager to please you. We have not had her around children much, but we’d probably suggest only older children who would respect her space. She has also not been cat tested, but due to her prey drive in the yard, it  probably isn’t a good idea.

Lola is not a candidate for dog parks or highly trafficked dog areas yet – or possibly ever (like patios or Barkology) we’ve been working with her in training, with her reactivity in high commotion areas and working with her trust, but she is still pretty fearful in these situations. So we need to make sure that someone isn’t going to set her up to fail and insist that she be a super social gal right out of the gate. Older children are a MUST as well and a gentle male figure.
