Bailey

Mr. Bailey, had came to us last July. He will be 2 years old this coming July. He was born with a minor growth deformity in his front legs, but that doesn’t stop him from being awesome!! He can go up stairs, but will not go down more than 2 or 3 stairs on his own. It’s been easily managed with joint supplements and anti-inflammatory meds if he over does it with playtime. He weights about 40 pounds and has learned to calm his self by suckling his blanket. He does need gentle introductions with anyone new as his former life was a bit rocky, he would be good with kids 8 and older. He does know “sit” while waiting for a treat. He does good while getting a bath but no hair dryers. (Not a fan of a blow out) He will need to have his undercoat brushed out; this will help decrease shedding and bring out his beautiful coat! He does give kisses, but also mouths but will not bite. He loves to play with our other two dogs. Other dogs in the home can not be too hyper or get in his face, as he will shut down. He is great on walks or needs to have a large fenced in yard for exercise. He knows to go outside to potty but will also use a potty pad if he cant hold it. He does not do well in a crate due to his past trauma but will go in his crate to eat. He prefers a nice couch, dog bed, or rug to nap on. Once he warms up to you, you can expect him to give lots of kisses and he may try to take a nap on your lap. He truly is a loveable boy that will thrive with the right family!
