Charley is a very special girl. She came to us from a local shelter in October as a shy and nervous girl. She’s approx 6-7 years old and has clearly had a hard life. Charley is small in stature, but huge in personality. She’s super smart, eager to please and learn! She recently underwent dental surgery to remove two upper molars that were causing her some discomfort. In her previous life it appears that she didn’t have the best nutrition or care. Charley is now pain free and is starting to experience what normal dog-life is all about. She is getting to know what good food is and what toys are! Charley does live with another dog named Carlo, but she doesn’t always appreciate him or know how to behave like a normal dog behaves. She is taking notes and learning from her big brother though and we can already see a tremendous improvement. At this time we believe that she would need to be the only dog in the home until she can start training to see if she can live with another dog successfully. She loves every person that she has ever met, even the little person that lives with her. She loves when her little human brother reads bedtime stories to her. Charley is learning place, wait and other important behaviors from her foster mom. She does however need work on her leash manners. If you are interested in learning more about Charley, apply today!
